There's a saying that the wife is the last to know. But that's no the case in our household, at least when it comes to hair. In our home, it's the husband that's last to know.
I was looking at the blog yesterday and noticed Mark was curious about the Anna's current style since The last haircut at the salon was 1 Month ago. I was VERY surprised to see Anna replied that she has an appointment for this Saturday.
Why wasn't I aware of this? Is she hiding something from me?
I've realized that it's best not to pester Anna about her hair. Doing so only leads to arguments. What seems to work for me is to leave Anna alone. Eventually, she will be back in the salon and doesn't disappoint. However, when she makes plans to go to the salon, she usually tells me about it. however, this time, she didn't.
Against my better judgement, I decided to ask her about it, and as expected, It didn't go well.
Enzo: Hey, you wrote on the blog that you have a hair appointment on Saturday?
Anna: Yes
Enzo: Why didn't you tell me?
Anna: Because I'm just getting the weight taken out of the top
Enzo: Oh, what about the back?
Anna: I'm letting it grow
Enzo: Why?
Anna: Look, I know you like the back buzzed, but I want to grow it out for a while
Enzo: So that's it? you're not buzzing the back anymore?
Anna: This is why I didn't say anything to you, I knew you'd start to pout
Enzo: I'm not pouting, I just wanted to be clear on what you're doing
Anna: I don't know what I'm doing. I've been doing the same thing for a while. I need to change
Enzo. OK calm down. I was just curious as to what your doing. Whatever you decide is fine with me
Anna: Maybe I'll just do a regular bob, all one length.
Enzo: That's fine
Anna: Don't hold me to that
Enzo: I'm not holding you to anything
Anna: Maybe after the summer I'll buzz the back again
Enzo: I got no problem with that
Anna: I said maybe
Enzo: Whatever
So here I sit, days before her appointment wondering what she's gonna do. Is she really undecided, or does she have a plan that she doesn't want to tell me about because she knows I'll be unhappy. Whatever happens, I have to wait until Saturday to find out.
I knew I should have kept my big mouth shut. Sometimes I'm better off not knowing.
