I was browsing the Let's Talk About Hair message board and happened upon a forum topic called Running With Scissors - Flickr. The message started with the question, " Anyone know what happened to the "Running With Scissors" Flickr foto collection? Or even our old LTAH pal pdkinder? Link says "member is no longer active"
After reading the comments on what may have happened, I decided to share with all What I know.
I came across RWS's Flickr site some time go. I loved the retro hairstyles that he would post and decided to e-mail him.
Before long, our friendship grew and we began trading hair photos and videos. RWS became a good friend and we shared many personal photos and experiences. Then on Feb.19th, he e-mailed me, telling me that he deleted his Facebook and Flickr accounts. He explained how it was his intention to locate books on hairstyles and scan them into his computer, to later post to Flickr. His intention was to save these images electronically for future generations. He spent countless hours doing so and that, along with his more liberal sharing of his wife's photos began to threatening his happiness with his wife. he then explained that he might also be contributing to the unhappiness of others through his
contributions, so he decided to take that off the table.
Although RWS no longer posts on line, his hair interest is still strong. Through e-mail, he still keeps me updated on Mrs. RWS hair, and on their last trip to the salon, the took some photos from a hair magazine, which he's allowed me to share here. Maybe someday, he'll return to our community. Until then I'll keep you posted.
